How can I upload an animated avatar?

I see some users have animated gif files in their avatar. I would like to upload one but every time I attempt to do so it says "animated images are not allowed".

I would have sent an email to wil but I figured other people would like to know this as well so I posted it in here.

It can be done, but it's very touchy. I should be able to get them posted, but if I have to resize them, it kills the animation.

Thanks for the reply TT. I noticed there is a size limit to files with the .gif extension so I deleted some frames from the animation so the file would fit the size limit and it still gave the error message.

Any suggestions I can try to get it uploaded?
